Broadcasting Services/ Interactive Video Services
Description
Students look for content to be available when they want it... wherever
they want it. Podcasting technology utilizes improved file management
software and improved portable hardware to offer the user increased
flexibility to access that content in an asynchronous manner.objective
Test the use of the new portable hardware and innovative software for use with digitized course material to determine if these innovations can offer advantages for students and professors seeking an alternate means to access and review course content.MSU departments
The departments of Social Work, Advertising, and Audiology & Speech Sciences were selected to first participate because they each offer a different approach to educating students.The Social Work class SW 811 examines developmental theories as they apply to individuals and families across the life span within the context of the exological perspectives. The course looks at bio-psycho-social factors and interactions and provides knowledge necessary for effective social work assessment and intervention.
The Advertising class CAS 892 is a graduate course which will use specialized future research techniques to analyze the future of branding and include multimedia discussions that include industy professionals.
The Audiology & Speech Sciences class ASC 344 is an undergrad level course that focuses on etiologies of hearing loss and procedures for evaluating hearing.
